The NYS Master Teacher Program and SUNY Buffalo State are proud to present Mentoring Pre-service Teachers, a one-day “intensive” workshop, with Cassie Goldman. Goldman will first describe her own journey from teaching students to teaching and leading other in- and pre-service teachers — using it as a template for how others might consider the transition. Cassandra Goldman's background includes teaching math for 15 years in a high school with severe emotional and behavioral disabled students. She currently teaches in at Forest Elementary where she has taught 4th grade and will be teaching in a K/1 8:1 behavioral classroom this year. As a NYS Master Teacher, Cassie led Professional Learning Teams focusing on mentoring and
coaching, and brings her years of experience in mentoring preservice teachers to the workshop.
