The LEAPP Program is for any manager at Buffalo State College who is interested in further improving their self-awareness as a manager, communication with employees, how to effectively deliver employee feedback, and manage employee performance. This program will specifically help individuals further improve how they manage employees at a SUNY institution and navigate labor relation policies and procedures.
Managers in the LEAPP program will complete two assessments to build self-awareness as a manager, complete six workshops, and be supported by a community invested in their ongoing manager development. As a result of the LEAPP Program managers will:

The program cohort will participate in the following courses listed below during the fall 2018 semester and cohort meetings each month during the spring 2019 semester scheduled at a convenient time for the group. All courses are facilitated by manager development experts from Buffalo State College and University at Buffalo.

Spring 2020 Semester Cohort Meetings |
During the spring 2020 semester, the program cohort will meet three times for 90 minutes at a time that is convenient for the group to discuss management challenges and support each other in resolving those challenges. The first 30 minutes of each cohort meeting will also include a guest speaker to provide the group with information about resources available to them as managers, insight as to how to manage in a unionized environment, and an opportunity to ask questions. Some of the guest speakers will include representatives from UUP and CSEA. |
