Tom Koller, senior associate athletics director, has been selected as the first recipient of the President's Professional Development Award and will be receiving $500.00 towards his registration to the Council for Advancement Support of Education (CASE) Major Gifts Strategies Conference in Omni Royal Orleans, New Orleans from May 20th-22nd, 2019.

The conference will provide a plan of action, top spark engagement and drive greater fundraising outcomes. I'll learn how to uncover new benefactors, revive existing relationships and programs, and produce meaningful cases for support. Athletics, like many departments on campus, face budget deficits and/or flat lining due to enrollment decline (and thus a decline in the Athletic Fee, which supports our budget). As a development officer and liaison to Institutional Advancement, this conference will better help me understand the strategies of major gift solicitation and, in turn, helps us (Athletics help ourselves by raising much-needed dollars to support Athletics).
